Drop your TimePlayedTracker.lua here, or choose it below. Each version of WoW has a separate file to add.
Found in World of Warcraft \ <version> \ WTF \ Account \ <ACCOUNT> \ SavedVariables \
On Chrome or Edge you choose the file once; afterward just press Refresh.
The game already tracks your /played time for every character. A small addon writes it to a file on your computer; you upload that file here and it becomes a record of your whole journey. Nothing is sent anywhere on its own.
Add Time Played Tracker to each WoW version you play. It takes about a minute.
Download the addonUnzip it, then move the TimePlayedTracker folder into your client's Interface\AddOns directory — each version keeps its own:
| Client | Folder |
|---|---|
| Retail | _retail_ |
| WoW: Forever | _forever_ |
| Classic Era | _classic_era_ |
| Anniversary | _anniversary_ |
| Wrath / Cata / MoP Classic | _classic_ |
At character select, open AddOns and make sure it's enabled.
Log into each character once so the game reports its /played. The addon then tracks totals, sessions, level-ups and where your time goes — automatically, in the background. No setup, no configuration.
Log out to character select (or /reload) to save the file, then drop it into the box above. Each WoW version has its own file — add them all for one combined record.
